Sharon and Carol
The Gathering was wonderful from the minute the hotel clerk handed me the red rose to the moment I placed my white carnation at the angel of hope. Thank you to everyone who made the weekend such as special time.
You might remember me... I was the one who made you late for dinner Friday night when you were trying to print the cookbook page for Brandon. All that trouble and I failed to go back and pick up the finished product :)
Best regards,
Celeste Hardy

Sharon, What an event you put on this past weekend! People will miss your passion
for making The Gathering in St. Louis, the best in the country. Thank you
for letting me teach Yoga for you. It is by far the HARDEST, MOST
CHALLENGING, MOST HEARTFELT CLASS I have taught in my 18 year career.
I'll call you this weekend when I think you have rested and I'll tell you
why I think that way!
Rest up, Sharon-
Peg

Dear Sharon,
Thank You so much for making such a wonderful Gathering take place in St. Louis. Larry and I benefited from it immensely and we know it was becausae of your hard work, care and love. The speakers and workshops were wonderful and so helpful to us and to all bereaved parents. Please extend our thanks and appreciation to all your committee chairs and their volunteers.
You did a tremendous and wonderful job and helped Larry and I through our continuing days of Grieving. The Gathering was a time of healing and learning and it couldn’t have happened without your outstanding leadership
There is no doubt how proud Andrew must be of you and your whole family.
Thank you again for a beautiful weekend at the Gathering. God Bless all of you.
Fondly,
L&M

Sharon,
Thank you so much for all your hard work. It was my first Gathering and I found it so uplifting and encouraging being among people who understood exactly how I feel now.. You are a wonderful person. Andrew has to be so proud of his mom.
Thanks Again,
MR
P.S. I love the cookbook!! Thanks for putting Jimmy’s recipes in it.

Dear Sharon,
“Thanks” to you and all the workers for another wonderful National Gathering! It was everything I anticipated and more… Our children were so beautiful and special and it was great having a whole weekend to honor them and their life and help the newbies learn how to intergrate their children, their deaths, etc. into their own life and reinvest in living.
It was a memorable weekend, and we appreciate you and everyone’s work and dedication to BP/USA.”
Thanks You!!
JB

Sharon,
Hope you're enjoying a well deserved rest. I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed the conference and got a lot out of it. It was super organized, but had a real comfortable, homey feel to it. I think bereaved parents are really a special sort of folk whatever organization they may belong to. Thank you so much for inviting me.

What a wonderful time we had and loved being with all of you!! The Gathering was wonderful!!
More later – bedtime!!
Peace and happiness,

The power of prayer. Sometimes when we pray, things don't come out the way we think they should. But I have seen some awesomeness in the way WUMC prays. I have seen healing, but there has also been some great sadness in the midst our congregation. There have been some losses and some miracles. This weekend I went to the Bereaved Parents National Gathering. I was there with about 400 people who had children, siblings, friends, and cousins who had died. Some were old when they died, some were young. There was so much pain and yet what I heard from many siblings and parents alike was hope. Most of the siblings I talked to spoke of their faith. How at first they were so angry with God, but that God was big enough to handle that anger. I saw many begin the road to healing and their walk with God this weekend. I prayed for that before the weekend began. There were some siblings who had such a strong faith, that it was inspiring to me. Even though it has been 12 years since my brother's death, I realized through others that there were still a few issues that I had. Sometimes we may feel like God is not answering our prayers. Wait though, He may be working on something even greater for you.

You and your team did it again! A great gathering.
Thanks for all your hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm. Hope to
see you next year in Chicago!--Shirley O.

Hi Sharon
I just wanted to take the time to thank you for an absolutely sensational weekend. Who would have ever thought a bereaved parent weekend could be so uplifting. Most of the workshops were so informative and helpful. I just finished Mitch's book. WOW I'm getting ready to start Ned's. I am going to use what I learned at the workshop and bring to our group in Troy. The angel of Hope ceremony gave me my wings so I can bring her to Troy. That will be our next project. The ceremony was beautiful. I just can't thank you enough for taking the time out of your busy schedule to help other bereaved parents like you did everyone there. I know you said it was a group effort but you have to start with a leader. And for being the "Queen" I thank you. Sincerely Jeff and Cindy Morris
The Queen had a King and the Princess had a Prince(alias Wayne and Steve),
Thank you all for a job well done.
Have your recovered yet? I haven't!
Love from our boys,
Sandy.

Dear Sharon,
Our deepest Thanks and appreciation for the excellent job you and the St. Louis Chapters did hosting the BP Gathering. The hotel, accommodations, food and hotel staff all met or exceeded our expectation. The workshops and late night sessions were helpful and informative. The gifts at the table were most appreciated and we enjoyed all the speakers – not to mention you srranged a speaker at EVERY meal.
All of this however would have been less than perfect if not for the fabulous effort made to organize each and every detail. I believe you must take credit for that. I can’t speak for everyone, but Susan and I found the entire weekend most rewarding.
Many Thanks,
RB

Gathering Evaluation Comments
I have only known of this organization for 1 year. What a comfort it would have in the early years of my grief journey.

The programs were excellent!! Sharon was awesome!!! Thank you Sharon
This has been a fantastic weekend – I have felt so much compassion and love. Very well organized. Food was great! Workshops and all speakers fantastic – 3 months bereaved

Gathering exceeded my expectations- Wonderful!! Keep up the great work!!
I will be back next year. This was my first Gathering. I lost my son 4 months ago at 22 yrs of age. I feel better after the conference.
The workshops and speakers overall were extremely good and helpful.

The people at the Gathering were some of the nicest people I have ever met. Everything was well organized. I received a blessing from the Gathering and plan to go as much as I can depending on how far I have to travel. The meditation room was wonderful and I loved writing to my daughter in the peaceful atmosphere. I hope to start a chapter in my town, a little farther down the road.

This was my first conference. It was better than I had originally expected it to be. Very informative workshops.

The conference was fantastic. Everyone involved in the planning and execution should be commended.
